Editorial Standards

How Grey Wolf Resources handles evidence, recommendations, professional boundaries, conflicts, AI assistance, corrections, and source discipline.

Effective date: September 30, 2026

These Editorial Standards describe how Grey Wolf Resources, LLC (“GWR”) approaches public analysis, recommendations, source use, conflicts, corrections, and AI-assisted work on greywolfresources.com.

1. Decision Usefulness Over Content Volume

GWR’s goal is to help management understand consequential technology decisions. Content should clarify the decision, material assumptions, credible options, tradeoffs, risks, dependencies, and unresolved questions rather than simply maximize page count or repeat vendor marketing.

2. Evidence and Source Discipline

Where a statement depends on current facts, specifications, law, pricing, licensing, security posture, or another changing condition, GWR aims to use sources appropriate to the claim and to distinguish source-backed information from interpretation.

Manufacturer or vendor information may be useful for specifications and stated capabilities, but it is not automatically treated as independent proof of performance, security, value, or business fit.

3. Firsthand Experience vs. Research

Firsthand use, direct professional experience, testing, observation, research, and opinion are different forms of evidence. GWR should not describe research as personal testing or imply firsthand experience that did not occur.

4. Recommendations

Recommendations should be tied to the problem being solved, material facts, business context, tradeoffs, and uncertainty. GWR aims to explain important disadvantages, dependencies, and alternatives when they are material to the decision.

Public content should not imply that one tool, vendor, architecture, security control, or service is universally correct.

5. Professional Boundaries

GWR may discuss legal, regulatory, accounting, insurance, HR, compliance, security, and other issues when they affect a technology decision, but public content should not present GWR as giving professional opinions that belong to another licensed or specialized discipline.

When another discipline owns the final judgment, GWR should say so and recommend appropriate specialist involvement.

6. Cybersecurity Claims

Security claims require particular care. Content should not promise that a product, control, architecture, or process makes an organization “secure,” prevents all incidents, guarantees compliance, or substitutes for an appropriate assessment when one is required.

7. Commercial Relationships and Conflicts

GWR’s direct consulting interests, affiliate relationships, sponsorships, referral arrangements, gifts, or other material relationships should not be hidden when they are relevant to how a reader would evaluate a recommendation.

See the Affiliate & Advertising Disclosure for additional information.

8. Testimonials, Case Studies, and Examples

GWR should not fabricate testimonials, clients, results, credentials, or project history. A case study or example should not imply a real client result if it is hypothetical or materially anonymized without saying so.

9. AI-Assisted Work

GWR may use artificial intelligence tools to assist with research organization, drafting, editing, coding, comparison, or analysis. AI output is not treated as an authoritative source merely because a model generated it.

Material public claims and recommendations remain subject to human review appropriate to the significance of the content. Confidential or sensitive client information should not be placed into an AI service merely because the tool is convenient; handling must be consistent with the applicable engagement, authorization, and security requirements.

10. Corrections and Updates

Technology information changes. When GWR identifies a material factual error, stale specification, broken recommendation, or significant change in the conditions underlying an article, the content should be corrected, qualified, updated, or retired as appropriate.

Minor style edits do not necessarily require a public change log. Material corrections should be made in a manner appropriate to the significance of the issue.

11. Contact and Corrections

Readers may report suspected errors, missing context, accessibility issues, or undisclosed conflicts through the Contact page.
